Ian Schrager’s PUBLIC hotel in Chicago, which debuted in October to much fanfare (read our recent review), has been garnering buzz not only for its sleek design and spot-on service, but also for it’s highly affordable rates (with intro rates currently available from $135/night). The property – Schrager’s first hotel from his new brand – is ramping up its wow-factor even further by slashing its rates from the affordable to downright bargain-basement, with a soon-to-launch $1/night promotion. The sale will open up bookings on a yet-to-be-disclosed date (an email sign-up is required to be among the first in-the-know), and will feature a 90-day travel period (also pending announcement) during which the $1/nightly rates can be snagged (just note they will go quickly – only three rooms in the 285-room property will be offered at the rock-bottom rates each night).
THE VALUE: The “One Dollar Sale” features rates of just $1 per night – that's $134 less than the current lowest nightly rate.
THE CATCH: The 3-month period for bookings has yet to be announced (so you'll need some flexibility with your travel plans), there will be only 48 hours to book once the sale is announced, and the $1/nightly rates will be first come, first served.
THE DETAILS: Sign up on PUBLIC’s promotional website to be among the first notified via email of the sale's launch.
