Las Vegas restauranteurs, who have long built a mecca of elite eateries, have taken notice of the culinary renaissance of casual burger joints that has swept the U.S. in recent years. Nowadays, Sin City is a destination for burger lovers. Chefs throughout the strip go to great lengths to perfect the this comfort food mainstay, and we’ve rounded up the best of the bunch. From lobster to fried eggs, these four incredible Las Vegas burgers go beyond expectations.
Holsteins Shakes and Buns (The Cosmopolitan)
The Cosmopolitan’s Holsteins Shakes and Buns is a fun entrant into the burger scene with its surrounding pop art and no-pretense attitude in serving casual food with a twist. Just a glance at the menu’s 20-plus assortment of burgers challenges the adventurous types, but you can't go wrong with the Gold Standard ($18.50). The juicy patty comes smothered with aged goat cheese, topped with smoked bacon, tomato confit, baby arugula, and garlic-chive aioli.
Burger Bar (Mandalay Bay)
This casual burger joint at Mandalay Place is a hot spot that delivers huge flavor. Dedicated to America’s classic sandwich, Burger Bar goes beyond red meat to include buffalo, turkey, salmon, and chicken options to round out its protein-packed menu. Opt for the Surf & Turf Burger ($24.50), a Black Angus patty, topped with a grilled half lobster, and grilled green asparagus on Burger Bar’s signature bun.
Gordon Ramsay BurGR (Planet Hollywood Hotel)
Gordon Ramsay (made famous through the hit TV shows Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares) and his Vegas burger hub, BurGR, makes the list for its mouthwatering Farm Burger ($15). Here, the patty is charred on the custom-built, open-flame wood grill, and made decadent with its perfectly seared duck breast bacon, melted English sharp cheddar, and fried egg topping.
Burger Brasserie (Paris Hotel)
Burger Brasserie has garnered heaps of press for its burger aimed at the one percent: the 777 burger. Cashing in at $777, the massive Kobe beef patty comes with seared foie gras, Maine lobster and 100-year-aged balsamic that is washed down with a bottle of Dom Pérignon Rosé. Don’t worry, not all of Burger Brasserie’s menu offerings require refinancing. The eatery’s standard Cheese Burger ($14) is an unassuming, yet perfectly executed sandwich that harkens back to yesteryear with its Velveeta cheese and bites of Gus’s pickles. Whether you’re going for broke or keeping it simple, either will pay off at Burger Brasserie.
