In honor of its new status of Green Seal eco-certification on the Silver Level, Aspen’s Sky Hotel is offering a special deal for similarly eco-minded guests. The Green Sky Package ties in 20 percent off room rates, a free Green Seal cocktail (a fruity mix of vodka, Malibu, Midori, and pineapple juice) at the hotel’s 39 Degrees lounge, and free valet parking. On top of that, the hotel will plant a tree for every guest to book the package. Special bonus points go to drivers of hybrid or electric cars, for whom Sky Hotel will donate 5 percent of the room rate to the Aspen Valley Land Trust.

To earn the Green Seal recognition – a prestigious designation linked to science-based standards – the Sky Hotel implemented a property-wide recycling program, installed energy efficient appliances, and started composting food waste. The 90-room Kimpton boutique property is a hip mainstay of the Aspen ski scene, but it boasts plenty of fun in the summer months, too.

The Green package is only for weekday (Sunday-Thursday) stays now through November 24 and is subject to availability. Rates start at $148/night. To book, visit theskyhotel.com.
