Luxury line Crystal Cruises announced today that they will be launching the 200-passenger Crystal Endeavor in August 2018. This will be the line's second yacht, and while it will have some of the same features as Crystal Esprit — Zodiac boats, jet skis, and snorkeling and scuba equipment — it will also be designed to sail in polar regions, including the Arctic and Antarctica, in addition to tropical regions.
The ship, which is being purpose-built with expedition trips in mind, will have two helicopters, two seven-person submarines (larger than the one on Crystal Esprit), and a multi-person ATV, as well as SEABOBs (underwater scooters). The ship will also have six dining venues, a movie theater, a card room, and a 10,000-square-foot spa — a big point of differentiation from Crystal Esprit, which only has a single treatment room.
