Bunking in a brand-new hotel near the beach for $169 per night this spring? Yes, please!
This past December, YVE Hotel Miami opened its doors in downtown Miami on Biscayne Boulevard. This means that some rooms have great Biscayne Bay and Port of Miami views -- while the property's proximity to attractions like the American Airlines Arena, Bayfront Park (right outside its doors), and Museum Park negates the need for a car if you want to spend most of your time in the city center.
The affordable chic hotel boasts 243 rooms, plenty of which are going for $169, $179, $194, and $199 now through April. The value here is solid considering the central location as well as perks like free WiFi throughout the hotel and bottomless refills of coffee and tea in the hotel's Biscayne Tavern restaurants. (Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, the restaurant sources its food locally and dishes up coastal, Southern-inspired entrees -- like shrimp and sharp-cheddar grits with Tasso ham.) The modern rooms match the neutral stylings of the hotel's public spaces, with graphic accents that add pops of color here and there.
More to love: Miami's growing arts scene extends into the hotel, too. Thanks to a partnership with a gallery in the city's Wynwood neighborhood -- now dubbed "Art Bastion" -- hotel guests can enjoy interactive art installations onsite and sign up for art tours. And if you want to venture out from downtown? It's easy to hop onto the nearby Metromover, a people-mover system on a 4.4-mile line that eventually hooks up with Metrorail and Metrobus. Bicycles and scooters can be rented nearby too.
