Traveling to Miami with the family? We found a 5-star hotel on South Beach that’s more affordable than you might think.
Faena Hotel Miami Beach, an upscale 169-room property that opened last year on the oceanfront of Collins Ave, is offering a deal with 50 percent off the nightly rate of your second room of an equal or lower category.
The starting rate for the package is $840 for a one-night stay in two Bay View rooms, exclusive of tax. We ran the numbers, and prices for each of these rooms are usually $560 per night on average through August. So instead of paying for two rooms full price at $1,120, the deal would knock that down to $840 total, for both rooms. And good news: There is no minimum stay, or restriction on the room category you choose.
The deal also includes some valuable extras, including breakfast for up to three people per room in the indoor-outdoor restaurant Veranda, a complimentary rollaway bed, and a complimentary half-day "Faena Play" session for up to two kids ages 4 to 12. As part of this daily program, the kids can join in a range of indoor and outdoor activities such as arts and crafts and sandcastle-building competitions.
What's more, the hotel — designed with the help of film director Baz Luhrmann (you probably know him from his work in "The Great Gatsby") — has a whimsical Golden Age vibe and some attractive amenities for all age groups, including a sprawling pool, several restaurants, and a South-American inspired spa.
To get the deal, you can book now through September 30 for travel now to December 27 by calling 305 535 4697 or e-mailing reservations-miamibeach@faena.com.
