There’s a long road to recovery for many of the Caribbean islands battered by what’s been one of the roughest hurricane seasons in recent years.
Wondering what you can do to help? This Friday, Sept. 22, online travel agency CheapCaribbean.com will be donating 50 percent of all its booking profits to hurricane relief efforts. The profits will be donated to Tourism Cares, an organization that’s centering its focus on aiding the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association for damages from hurricanes Irma and Maria.
If you’re not in the market for a vacation, you can also donate directly to CheapCaribbean’s Caribbean Hurricane Relief Fund via Tourism Cares, or you can purchase a t-shirt (all proceeds go to Tourism Cares) through Oct. 31.
Other ways to help the Caribbean and U.S. locations affected by Hurricane Harvey, Irma, and Maria include donating to World Vision, Carnival Corporation, Royal Caribbean, Catholic Relief Services, and UNICEF USA.
