What You Need to Know

The Look of Romer House Waikiki

It's All in the Details

Romer House Waikiki may be housed in a mid-century building, but its interiors exude contemporary cool. Guest rooms and suites are outfitted with a blend of woven textiles and light woods, bespoke furnishings with matte black accents, and amateur street photography of the neighborhood. All of the accommodations have plenty of natural light, and most have private lanais, too.

The common spaces are equally sleek, starting with the check-in area that’s adorned with local artwork and photography, lots of greenery, and an eye-catching black reception desk etched with palm trees and other tropical flora. The two on-site restaurants, Izakaya 855-Aloha and Backyard are stylish and sceney, and both feature specially commissioned works by local artists.

The Vibe at Romer House Waikiki

The Romer brand strives to offer an authentically local feel, and has succeeded at Romer House Waikiki, which spotlights local artwork and culture throughout the property. Moreover, the vibey common spaces, bars, and restaurants lure in locals as much as they do visitors.

The ground-floor Izakaya 855-Aloha serves as the beating heart of the hotel. In the morning, it serves as a hip coffee shop, while, come nighttime, it becomes a beloved haunt for drinks and flavorful fare inspired by Japanese and Hawaiian flavors. The buzzy space features a specially commissioned four-panel mural from Waikiki-based illustrator Solario, modeled after vintage phone book ads.
