The Loren at Pink Beach hotel in Bermuda is the epitome of postcard perfect. The first new property to grace the island in 45 years, the Loren offers a fresh, modern feel with an emphasis on fine dining and unparalleled views over the Bermuda's signature turquoise waters and pink sand. Here's our review.

Lodging Type: Small Hotel (under 50 rooms)
What You Need To Know
The Look
The Loren's contemporary look sets it apart from other properties in Bermuda — most of which have a colonial aesthetic. The lobby feels like it's straight out of a magazine, perfectly curated with a library and chic furnishings you'll want for your own home. The 45 minimally decorated guest rooms and suites make the beach the focal point, with private ocean-facing lanais that bring the living space outdoors. Massive marble bathrooms feature soaking tubs and rain showers, plus Malin + Goetz bath products.
The Vibe
Between the walls lined with original works of art, handsome furnishings, and floor-to-ceiling windows that look out to the ocean, this hotel attracts a well-to-do set. You'll find honeymooners lounging with chilled wine by the pool (or in one of the four cabanas), sophisticated older guests sharing a beach-side dinner, and few families at this property.
Who Will Love It
Couples will appreciate romantic waterfront meals and the intimate pool setting; groups or families can book the two- and three-bedroom suites; and a few double rooms work well for friends. Those who prefer modern accommodations will want to spring for this property over any other on the island.
Who Might Not
Those who prize Bermuda's traditional colonial stylings won't welcome the contemporary feel. And while the hotel is kid-friendly (with a kids' club and kiddy pool), the property has a distinct made-for-adults vibe.
Best Amenity
The hotel’s food and wine programs are a big draw. Dine oceanside on local Bermudian fish sandwiches at The Pink Beach Club, or make a reservation at the hotel's Marée restaurant for cocktails and a three-course dinner, which always includes a fresh catch of the day. But our favorite amenity has got to be the infinity pool. Set right alongside the ocean, it captures the whole vacation vibe in every sense, and makes for the most Instagram-worthy photos.
Money Matters
What’s Included
Free parking, WiFi, access to the hotel’s gym and spa facilities, in-room tea and Nespresso machine, turn-down service, and an overnight shoeshine.
Fees and Extra Costs You Should Know About
All food and beverages in the hotel’s restaurant and spa treatments will be extra.
How to Get a Deal
Go in the off-season when rates dip as low as $450 per night. It may sound spendy, but Bermuda is an expensive island. High season rates can hit $900, so travelers visiting during the low season will still score a deal, and be able to take advantage of fewer crowds and still-pleasant weather.
Getting There
In the Neighborhood
The Loren is situated in Smiths Parish, between Hamilton and Devonshire, with plenty of nearby restaurants, attractions, and beaches.
Nearest Airport
The L.F. Wade International Airport airport is just a 15-minute drive from the hotel. The Loren can arrange airport transfers, and there is taxi service available.
The Bottom Line
The Loren offers a modern luxury experience that feels relaxed thanks to a beautiful pool and gorgeous views.
