Romantic notes and poems. An unexpected bouquet of flowers. Heartfelt gifts and gregarious displays of affection. It's true that love is an art form. But there is a science to it as well, and the biology of it all is often overlooked.

This Valentine's Day rediscover the biological side with the 'Science of Love' hotel package from the Sheraton Fisherman's Warf and the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco

Do your mating displays compete with the dance of the male tarantula?

Guests of the Sheraton will enjoy special after-hours access to a "Sex and Science" themed Wine and Dine tour at the Academy. Enjoy displays showcasing some of nature's more affectionate inhabitants. The evening includes a pre-dinner tour and champagne reception highlighting such amorous characters as the African penguins, who mate for life, and the cichlids, who are often found locking lips. Dinner consists of a four-course tasting menu at the Moss Room, the Academy's award-winning restaurant.

On the Sheraton side, the package includes town car service to the Academy, two nights accommodation in a luxury room, and brunch at the Sheraton's Sol restaurant both mornings. You'll also receive champagne and chocolate covered strawberries (a V-Day staple!) upon arrival.

The package is available February 13 to 15, and costs $295 per night, minimum two nights.
