Virgin Voyages — the new, adults-only cruise line from Richard Branson — just announced the news of their second ship, which will be named Valiant Lady. The line’s first ship, 2,770-passenger Scarlet Lady, is set to debut in April 2020 and will depart from Miami and visit the Caribbean and Mexico on four- to seven-night sailings.
Valiant Lady’s maiden voyage will take place in May 2021, and the ship will operate in the Mediterranean out of Barcelona. As of now, three itineraries have been announced: one calls on Barcelona, Ibiza, Monte Carlo, Marseille, and Olbia; another visits Barcelona, Ibiza, Toulon, Ajaccio, Marina di Carrara, and Cagliari. The third itinerary focuses solely on Spain and sails to Barcelona, Ibiza, Palma de Mallorca, Malaga, and Gibraltar. Passengers can book sailings beginning December 19, 2019.
Additionally, every sailing onboard Valiant Lady features a Friday overnight stay in Ibiza, where passengers can lounge by the beach, hit the spa, or visit one of the many nightclubs – though they’ll be plenty of partying on board, too.
While there is no information currently available on Valiant Lady’s amenities, we do know that sister ship Scarlet Lady will feature an onboard tattoo parlor, 20 different eateries (none of which are buffets), and eccentric entertainment offerings (i.e. no Broadway shows). Interior renderings of Valiant Lady have not yet been released.
