Onboard Naturalists: Galapagos National Park-certified guides accompany guests during the entire journey. Knowledgeable and passionate, they're readily available for individual questions onboard.

Inclusions: The fare includes drinks (except some premium labels), gratuities, shore excursions, and use of wetsuits and snorkeling equipment. If you book a cruise tour, the pre- and post-cruise overnights in Quito are also incorporated into the fare.

Well-Equipped Outside Cabins: Accommodations are compact but each room features an interactive flat-screen TV, dual voltage (110/220 AC) outlets, and binoculars. All staterooms have outside views, but if you want a balcony, you should book a suite.

Galapagos Cruises are Pricey: Due to the islands’ isolation and strict regulations that limit the size of cruise ships and number of visitors, it’s hard to visit the Galapagos cheaply. Expect cruise fares for Xpedition to be three to four times higher than most Celebrity cruises.

Beware of Curious Wildlife: Passengers are warned not to pet the seal pups on the islands, since they may be abandoned should their mothers detect a human scent. Hard to do, however, when the friendly critters rub themselves against your legs and offer you sticks to throw.
