Scenic Jasper joined the fleet in 2015 with the largest panorama suites on Europe's waterways. The 169-passenger ship also has private balconies on 85 percent of its staterooms, plus a spa for those who want to indulge in a mani-pedi or massage while on board. The line added a new version of its Scenic Tailormade GPS to staterooms, providing dozens of pre-programmed walking and biking tours on a device the size of an iPhone — making it easier for passengers to explore on their own.

What We Love

Top-Deck Vitality Pool: The latest generation of Space-Ships has a vitality pool on the Sun Deck, perfect for a cool-down dip after midday touring in summer.

More Spacious Staterooms: Scenic reworked its cabins to make them even more spacious, with balcony staterooms starting at 205 square feet and Royal Panorama Suites coming in at 475 square feet — now with heated bathroom floors and hydraulic air beds.

Best Known For

Ease and Choice: Since Scenic cruises are all-inclusive, guests experience few hassles when it comes to planning their days and evenings, with six dining options and up to 21 complimentary excursions to choose from on 15-day cruises.

Chic Custom Design: Scenic's owner's wife added her personal spin to the ship's contemporary design, commissioning custom artwork by Australian artists for the corridors and charcoal sketches for the cabins.

Who It's Best For

Seasoned, Sophisticated Cruisers: Most passengers have sailed on luxury ocean cruises and have traveled to Europe several times before. What they like about this river line is its attention to detail — from the L'Occitane bath amenities to the customizable Scenic Slumber Beds with Egyptian cotton linens.

Word to the Wise

Higher Decks Sell Out Fast: If you want the perks of a Balcony Stateroom or Suite, book well in advance — Scenic Jasper's top two decks are the first to go.
