Silver Whisper, the second of Silversea’s two Millennium-class vessels, debuted in 2001, one year after sister ship Silver Shadow. A multi-million-dollar refurbishment in 2018 resulted in an elegantly refreshed and technologically advanced ship that cruises to some of the world’s must-see destinations, from chic ports in the Mediterranean and culture-rich cities in Asia to sunny spots in South America and Australia. Now accommodating 392 guests, Silver Whisper is small enough to nose its way into glamorous, less-visited ports that big ships can’t fit into. Along the way, you’ll sip your complimentary Champagne while your butler refreshes your ice bucket and stocks your in-suite bar.
The Culinary Indulgences: The four restaurants on board Silver Whisper serve a wide selection of culinary delights, from authentic pastas made with fresh-from-Italy ingredients in La Terrazza to sophisticated international cuisine with a focus on regions where the ship is sailing in The Restaurant. Guests can also enjoy casual salads and burgers by day at The Grill or prepare their own cuts of meat on hot lava stones atop their table at night. For an extra fee, they can make a reservation for La Dame to enjoy contemporary French fine dining in an intimate and atmospheric setting.
The Spa: While treatments at the Zagara Beauty Spa are not included in the fare, the long massages and rejuvenating facials are priceless. Bonus: The treatment price includes gratuity.
All-Inclusive Service — Including Butlers: The butlers, trained to a consistently high standard across the Silversea fleet, will unpack your overstuffed suitcase, make your reservations in the specialty restaurants, and offer sightseeing advice while setting out your room-service breakfast on a white tablecloth.
Places to Relax: Like its sister Silver Shadow, Silver Whisper offers appealing spots to hang out on board, including multiple lounges such as the Panorama Lounge for afternoon tea or cocktails with a view and The Bar for live music and dancing. The ship also offers spacious accommodations, ranging from 287 square-foot Vista Suites to the 919-square-foot Owner’s Suite — and 80 percent of them have private outdoor spaces.
Laid-Back Luxury Cruisers: This ship attracts well-heeled, sophisticated travelers who want the best in life.
Leave the Kids at Home: Silver Whisper does not have facilities or programs to entertain young children, and they are unlikely to find many playmates on board.
