Nashville, Tennessee
The great thing about Nashville, Tennessee, aka “Music City,” is that it puts on an amazing performance year-round. But summer is a great time for groups to get their groove on because the city comes alive with festivals and events — many that are free or low-cost.
Music in the Vines, for example, brings jazz music to Arrington Vineyards on Saturdays & Sundays from April through October. Skydeck on Broadway, one of the top music venues in town, has a killer summer lineup, too. Each summer, the local Bluebird Cafe brings live music under the stars atop the hill at the entrance to the Dyer Observatory: During the Bluebird on the Mountain Concert Series, the observatory opens the telescope for visitors to stargaze.
Iconic spots like the Parthenon in Centennial Park, the Nashville Farmers Market, and various live music venues along Broadway also don't require hefty admission fees, and the city's rich music heritage means there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy live music performances without any admission fees at all.
Nashville's rich history and culture are showcased in its many affordable attractions. Visiting historical sites like the Tennessee State Capitol, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and various museums provides educational and fun experiences for groups.
Where to Stay: The centrally located Hayes Street Hotel not only has spacious suites for groups to spread out in, it also offers discounted accommodations for groups and group packages.
