See the Polar Bears in Manitoba

In Churchill, the world's polar bear capital, prime viewing starts in October. Every year, approximately 1,000 of these massive creatures congregate on the shores of Hudson’s Bay waiting for the water to freeze so they can venture out onto ice floats where they spend the winter hunting seals. The world’s largest land predator, polar bears can weigh up to 1,320 pounds and move with lightning speed. There is no self-guiding allowed; guests must book with a local tundra buggy operator.
