One of the best things about luxury cruising is the incredible array of ports that smaller ships visit as they sail global itineraries. The top lines can take you to hundreds of destinations worldwide, many of which are charming cities or remote islands that large mainstream ships can’t always reach.
Over 30 years — and more than 90 cruises — I have developed a fondness for certain ports that I have enjoyed just as much on the second, third, and even fourth visits as on the first. Here are 10 of my favorites.
