Located at the end of the Hood Canal and spanning all of two blocks, Hoodsport is your entryway to Washington's Olympic National Park. A winery, café, ice cream shop, and grocery store are all a short walk from the pier and there's not much else here at the base of the Olympic Mountain Range, where ships anchor offshore and you'll reach the pier by skiff.

Olympic National Forest: Home to Lake Cushman and the Skokomish River, this forest in the southeastern corner of Olympic National Park offers activities that take you into an enchanted, moss-covered wilderness of giant fallen logs, massive boulders, and all sorts of mushrooms. Gaze up at western red cedars, Douglas fir, and hemlock trees as you follow well-maintained trails around a mix of old- and new-growth forest.
Anyone Who Lives and Breathes the Great Outdoors: Hikers and nature lovers will be in their element ascending trails, crossing raging streams and, of course, stopping for lunch by the river.
Pack for Wet Weather: Rain gear is essential, even if it looks like a sunny day — conditions can change quickly in the forest. A backpack is a must as you remove or add layers and carry your lunch, water, and snacks.
