Santa Claus, Indiana
According to town legend, many years ago, children visiting Santa Claus, Indiana, were so disappointed when they couldn’t find the man himself that locals quickly set out to right that wrong. Now, they can find him at Santa Claus’ Holiday World year-round alongside a slew of Christmas activities. There’s also the Santa Claus Museum, which preserves the history of the town while showcasing tons of Santa-related memorabilia, and throughout town, streets with names like Candy Cane Lane and Reindeer Circle and businesses called St. Nick’s Restaurant and Frosty’s Fun Centre add to a festive feel. And yes, the local post office gets inundated with thousands of letters to Santa each season.
