1. New Brunswick: Walk on the Ocean Floor
Hopewell Rocks, located on the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick, are iconic sandstone formations shaped by the world’s highest tides that offer an ever-changing coastal experience. Also known as the “Flowerpot Rocks,” they tower up to 70 feet and are surrounded by vast mudflats during low tide, allowing visitors to walk on the ocean floor. At high tide, the rocks become tiny islands, perfect for kayaking around. Visit the Hopewell Rocks Ocean Tidal Exploration Site at Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park to see it for yourself.
